The only thing that I would critique the presentation on is that I wish it would have also addressed women who do go to these conventions and proceed to dress up in these costume with the wanting of "attention" in that way and acts as such . Those who do that puts everyone else at a dangerous disadvantage because it gives a predator grounds to feel like what he/she is doing is okay. I feel very strongly about this subject and I am thankf for this presentation for discussing this topic.

CSW
The By far, my favorite part or presentation of the CSW was the Raven presentation. I like the empowering message that it had and that it stood for. I also enjoyed the ironic since that there was a med-west media expo the same weekend as her presentation. But really what struck me about that most was, being a fellow cos-player and a person who enjoys going to convention,
I see a lot of girls mimicking their favorite women and shero'a on the screen. A lot of those characters represent strong women who own themselves and their sexually that no man would f$&k around with; so it is evident to see why women would want to dress up on those outfits and put themselves in "the same shoes" as these powerful person. Unfortunately in the real world men or in some cases women are not conditioned like the people in the program to fear or to respect these people and only see them as a symbol of pleasure. I have seen this happen, I have experienced this first hand. And I firmly believe that an outfit is in noway, shape, or from a welcome mat for someone to me or anyone else.
